U14 GIRLS WHITE TEAM KICKS OFF NEW YEAR WITH A BANG

January 8, 2012 - Pinecrest Premier's U14 Girls White team kicked off the new year with a bang as they claimed the 2012 Wellington Shootout Tournament Championship. The girls opened up the tournament with a draw versus the Boyton Beach Knights 2-2. Later that afternoon they faced a tough Wellington SC 97/98 Wave White Team and rebounded with a 1-0 victory over the host team. On Sunday they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Cape Coral Girls 97 team, however, they would accumulate enough points to qualify for the finals. During the final game, they faced a resilient Fort Lauderdale Select team, but Coach Marco's girls would not be denied. They won convincingly by a 3-0 scoreline and not only did they win the Championship, but this marked the fourth finals in the season that the girls have reached and making it three out of four Championship wins! Congratulations to the girls for a job well done.

U11 GIRLS GREY TEAM ARE WEST PINES TOURNAMENT CHAMPS

October 23, 2011 - Pembroke Pines, Fl. - The Pinecrest Premier Girls U11 Grey Team played their hearts out! Wow! What a tournament! The Pinecrest Premier Girls U11 Grey Team played their hearts out and came away champions of the 2011 West Pines Kickoff Classic. In the first game of the tournament the girls tied Davie United, a team that had previously beaten them. They rebounded well in the second game, winning a nail biter game. During the last couple of minutes, Team Boca tied the game, however, the girls immediately regained the lead and emerged victorious. The qualifying game the girls showed their determination by taking control of the game early and never looking back by ending with a victory against the Plantation Eagles.

In a “made for movies” scenario the girls faced the Patriots, who had eliminated them in a previous tournament with penalty kicks. The game was a nerve-racking defensive affair and even though the girls were exhausted, they found a way to dig down deep and break the 0-0 tie by scoring the only goal of the game. The game winner! Congratulations to the team and coaches!

U13B WHITE TEAM MARCHES TO EVERTON FALL CHALLENGE FINALS

Sep. 18, 2011 - St Petersburg, FL. - Even though the season is barely under way, the U13 Boys White team is racking up the tournament experience in a big way. This past weekend the boys participated in the 5th Annual Everton Fall Challenge, located in St. Petersburg, Florida. This marked the third tournament in a row where the team reached at least the semi-finals. Playing in the Under 13/14 Boys National division, the boys faced stiff competition but finished first in their group with two victories and a draw. Qualifying for the tournament finals, they faced a talented FC Tampa Rangers team. The two teams battled to scoreless tie during regular time, however during the overtime FC Tampa was able to seal a victory with a last minute goal for 1-0 win. Congratulations to the U13 Boys White team and Coach Marco Cortez for a job well done.

PINECREST PREMIER U14 GIRLS PLACE IN DISNEY INTERNATIONAL CUP

July 16, 2011 - Orlando, Fl. - The Pinecrest Premier U14 Girls joined forces to play in the 2011 Disney International Cup and the endeavor was highly successful. Coach Marco Cortez took a U14 Girls squad and represented the club well on their way to a third place finish. Congratulations to the girls on a good showing!

PINECREST PREMIER SC GOALKEEPER TRAINING

November 7, 2011 - The soccer goal keeper is one of the most important players on the field - they are the last line of defense and the first line of attack. To play the position well requires special skills and training. Pinecrest Premier SC offers goalkeeper training at no additional cost to members and all select team goal keepers are required to attend. Training Sessions are age group specific and are offered during the following days:

U-13+up - Every Wednesday

(All practices at Southwood Middle School 4:45 PM to 6:00PM)

At this point, due to daylight savings, practice times will are from 4:45 PM to 6:00 PM .
