PPSC Gets Down & Dirty For Charity

PPSC players,siblings, and parents participated in the Merrell Down & dirty Mud Run, which supports Operation Gratitude, a charity which sends care packages to US servicemen. Participants ran over, through, and under military obstacles and crawled through a mud pit to reach the finish line. It was a muddy mess but lots of fun!

U14 GIRLS WHITE TEAM KICKS OFF NEW YEAR WITH A BANG

January 8, 2012 - Pinecrest Premier's U14 Girls White team kicked off the new year with a bang as they claimed the 2012 Wellington Shootout Tournament Championship. The girls opened up the tournament with a draw versus the Boyton Beach Knights 2-2. Later that afternoon they faced a tough Wellington SC 97/98 Wave White Team and rebounded with a 1-0 victory over the host team. On Sunday they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Cape Coral Girls 97 team, however, they would accumulate enough points to qualify for the finals. During the final game, they faced a resilient Fort Lauderdale Select team, but Coach Marco's girls would not be denied. They won convincingly by a 3-0 scoreline and not only did they win the Championship, but this marked the fourth finals in the season that the girls have reached and making it three out of four Championship wins! Congratulations to the girls for a job well done.

U11B GRAY TEAM ARE 2011-2012 DYSA CHAMPIONS!

February 14, 2012 - Pinecrest Premier U11 Gray Boys win DYSA Championship. The Team defeated South Miami United Blue on extra time, in a semifinal that ended 2-1. They further prevailed in the final 2-1 against Miami Strike Force, a very strong opponent. The team ended with a record of: 12 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss, 43 goals in favor and 17 against. Congratulations to all players, their supporting parents and the PSC staff for providing great support. Form all players, a special thank you note to our DOC, Mr. Nick Megaloudis, for attending the final and supporting the team.

February 20, 2012- Pinecrest Premier’s U10 Girls Blue Team make it to the Disney President’s Day Soccer Tournament Finals. Jason Kirk’s U10 girls went in to the Disney Finals with an undefeated tournament record. They played a hard fought game, losing 2-4 in the final.

January 8, 2012 - Pinecrest Premier’s Recreational Academy U8 Boys team shows what hard work can accomplish. The future Pinecrest stars led by Coach Garry Leith competed in the U9 Division and captured their first ever Kelme Cup Championship. These boys are well on their way to becoming some of the very best of their age group. Congratulations boys for a job well done!

PINECREST PREMIER SC GOALKEEPER TRAINING

November 7, 2011 - The soccer goal keeper is one of the most important players on the field - they are the last line of defense and the first line of attack. To play the position well requires special skills and training. Pinecrest Premier SC offers goalkeeper training at no additional cost to members and all select team goal keepers are required to attend. Training Sessions are age group specific and are offered during the following days:

U-9/10 - Every Monday

U-11/12 - Every Tuesday

U-13+up - Every Wednesday

(All practices at Southwood Middle School 4:45 PM to 6:00PM)

At this point, due to daylight savings, practice times will are from 4:45 PM to 6:00 PM .
