November 22, 2009 - Pinecrest Premier SC U15G Blue team wanted to compete against the best.  They can now claim to be amongst the best.  Coach Alex Abaroa and his U15 Girls traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina to participate in one of the most prestigious tournaments throughout the entire country, CASL’s  NSS Girls College Showcase.  Bracketed in the Premier Calcio division, the girls knew there would be some fierce competition, however, this would not be enough to deter them from bringing home a championship.  Victories in the preliminary rounds over Tophat SC (GA) 2-1, Vardar (MI) 2-1 and home team favorites CASL Spartan Premier (NC) 1-0 assured them a spot in the finals, where they would face PGSA Stars of North Carolina.  On this day, Pinecrest would not be denied.  A hard fought game, the U15 Girls overcame PGSA Stars by a score of 1-0, allowing them to come back to Florida as Champions! Congratulations to the team and coach on their great accomplishment!
