2011-2012 Coaching Staff

 

Nick Megaloudis holds a USSF "A" license and has coached both girls and boys. He played professionally in the NASL and MISL and was a former assistant coach for MLS club, the Miami Fusion.  Coach Nick brings over 25 years of experience implementing and running youth soccer programs.  As a coach he has taken his teams to Regional Cups and various tournaments throughout the state.   A native of Queens, NY, he is well known in Eastern New York soccer circles. He comes from family rich in soccer history, and his brother Michael still coaches in the area and his son Chris played at the University of Virginia and a nephew Chris, a member of the Puerto Rican National Team and has played for the New York Red Bulls. He is currently assisting in training the U12 Boys Blue Team

 

  

 


Judd Shapiro Began coaching at the club during the 2004-2005 Season. Judd’s teams won many tournaments and been finalists in many more. In addition, he is in his fourteenth year as the Boys Head Junior Varsity Coach at Gulliver Preparatory School, where he is also an assistant coach on the Boys Varsity team. His junior varsity team has a record of 131-18-21, with numerous victories in tournaments. The varsity team has countless district, regional and tournament championships, along with four state championships. For the 2011-2012 Season Coach Judd will be with the U12 Boys White Team.

Carlos Castro  has been with Pinecrest Premier since 2005.  He began his career with the club as an assistant coach and has been a head coach the past two seasons.  He is a native of Bogota, Colombia and has resided in the US since 1990. He currently holds a NACL License from the USASA Adult Soccer Association.  He is currently a teacher and Movement Educator at the Waldorf School in Miami.  A practicioner in Spacial Dynamics.  His desire is to inspire kids to love and discover the beauty of the game and help them become conscious of the space around them while improving their skills in the process.  He quotes Mahatma Ghandi in his belief that states, ""An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.For the 2011-2012 Season Coach Carlos will be heading the U12 Boys Grey Team

Chris Morgan began his coaching career with the recreational academy program at Pinecrest Premier during the 2004-05. This season he enters his third year with the Select teams.  He led last season’s U11 Boys Black team to the Division 3 Region Cup Championship.  He currently holds an USSF National "D" coaching license and has numerous years playing experience at various levels.  He played Division 1 college soccer at American University (Washington, D.C.) and was a member of the Jamaica National Youth and Senior teams.  He was one of the first players invited to the inaugural MLS combine and also played semi professional for the Washington Mustangs in the USL.  Coach Morgan’s philosophies include ’Practice makes permanent’and believes that  ‘If you fail to prepare, you should prepare to fail.’For the 2011-2012 season Coach Morgan will lead the U12 Boys Black Team.
